Government of Canada Announces Assistance to Northwest Territories for 2005 Spring Flood |

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 13, 2011) - On behalf of the Honourable Vic Toews, Canada's Minister of Public Safety, the Honourable Peter Van Loan, Leader of the Government in the House of Commons, today announced a payment of $647,617 to the Government of the Northwest Territories. The payment was made under the Disaster Financial Assistance Arrangements (DFAA) program for eligible costs incurred by the Northwest Territories following severe spring flooding along the Mackenzie River in 2005.
