CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - April 20, 2011) - Morumbi Oil & Gas Inc. (TSX VENTURE:MOC) ("Morumbi" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has closed a non-brokered private placement offering (the "Offering") for aggregate gross proceeds of $1,700,000. The Company issued 6,800,000 units (each a "Unit"), at a price of $0.25 per Unit. Each Unit consists of one common share of the Company ("Common Share") and one-half of one common share purchase warrant (each whole being a "Warrant"). Each Warrant entitles the holder thereof to acquire one Common Share of the Company at a price of $0.40 until April 19, 2012, subject to earlier exercise in accordance with the terms thereof.
