Dow ends higher for 8th-straight day |

U.S. stocks lifted from session lows Wednesday and ended a lackluster trading session mixed. The Dow inched higher for an eighth straigh session, but the S&P 500 and Nasdaq finished lower as investors took a breather following four consecutive days of gains.
